Course Overview:
The Edexcel GCE in Leisure Studies has been developed to provide a broad educational basis for further training, further education or for moving into an appropriate employment within the leisure sector. They have been designed to be delivered in a work-related context and to allow learners to develop an understanding of the leisure sector.

Progression:

This qualification supports progression into further education, training or employment. Appropriate further education includes Level 3 BTEC Nationals in related subjects such as Sport, Level 4 BTEC Higher Nationals in related subjects such as Sport and Leisure Management and Undergraduate degrees in related subjects such as leisure management, sport studies, or sport and exercise science.

 A GCE in Leisure Studies could also provide some underpinning knowledge which could lead to progression to a related NVQ such as Levels 1,2 & 3 NVQs in Sport, Recreation and Allied Occupations, and the related Modern Apprenticeships.
